Oneness Blessing: This transfer of energy initiates the journey into higher states of consciousness and can result in feelings of peace and relaxation. Oneness Blessing givers will be available to give the blessing after a short introduction and meditation.

Amy-Jill Levine will be the guest speaker for the OU Religious Studies Program. She is the author of The Misunderstood Jew, a provocative book on the life of Jesus from a Jewish perspective. She challenges many of the assumptions about Jesus that most of us have been taught.

Fundamentals of the Path and Group Meditation

The last Wednesday of each month we gather together for a talk and a group meditation. Mary Skidmore will give a talk on “The Kingdom” according to Audle Allison, founder of the Lotus Center. Many of the techniques taught by FAP come from Audle’s teachings. Mary will lead a group meditation after the talk.We will have tea and potluck snacks after. We appreciate any donations of snacks.

Laughter Club/Laughter Yoga

Join the Laughter Club meeting each month, which will start meeting on the fourth Monday of the month starting in February. A short introduction to laughter yoga will be followed by the group participating in exercises to tickle the funny bone. The holidays are an especially good time to slow down and maintain a sense of humor. Class is offered by donation.

Gaden Shartse Monks

March 20 to April 3 Norman Events

Tibetan monks from the Gaden Shartse Monastery in Inda will be in Norman March 20 through April 3. Presentations include a video slide show, a performance of sacred dance and chants from Tibet, meditation workshop, a lecture series, and the creation of a sand mandala. Monks from the Gaden Shartse Monastery presented a series of lectures and created a sand mandala during a visit to Norman in 2008. Their return to Norman is a part of a national tour to be of service to the world community by nurturing peace, harmony, compassion, and tolerance through cultural exchange.
